Surin Beach Hotels

One of Phuket's nicest and least developed gems, Surin is an idyllic paradise with soft sand, silky water and luxurious accommodation. Known for its millionaire residents, Surin caters well for the rich but it certainly isn't exclusive and is open to budget travellers too.

Thanks to the lack of development on Surin the beach is arguably one of the nicest on the whole of Phuket. Relax in the sun without the gaze of nearby hotels putting you off and enjoy the nature that still exists here. Surin is almost a throwback to what some of Phuket's other beaches used to be. To the north and south of the main strip of sand are two much smaller and more secluded little coves which are perfect for true peace and quiet. These are both hidden behind the headlands which bookend the main beach. Surin is also home to some colourful marine life. Strap on your snorkelling gear and check it out for yourself. Or, for the more adventurous, water skis are available for some thrills above sea level.

Like most of Phuket's West coast, the off season brings in some gentle swells which making surfing a possibility. The waves at Surin are good fun but take care as the occasional rip tide can cause problems. After a tiring day on the beach head back to the mainland for some of the great restaurants on offer.
