Cape Panwa Hotels & Resorts

One of Phuket's quieter stretches of sand, Cape Panwa is a great place for swimming and lounging without the large crowds. Shallow waters make it possible to swim quite far out and although the sand may not be the softest on the island it's still very comfortable to sun bathe on.

Set back from the beach are numerous luxury villas, hotels and condos but there are also a range of more affordable Cape Panwa resorts. Although working on that tan is an important part of any holiday there are other things to do on the beach. Charter a long tail boat and drop in on the nearby island Koh Lune for a great way to spend an afternoon. For stunning views across the whole of southern Phuket it is definitely worth making the trip to Panwa View Point. Climb the top of Khao Khad Views Tower for a 360 degree panorama with detailed maps explaining what you are looking at. Don't forget to bring your camera either.

Arguably the best known of the Cape Panwa hotels is Novotel Panwa Beach Resort which even has its own private strip of white sand. Most visitors eat at their hotel as facilities on the beach are few and far between.
